The Friends of the Robinson Gardens will host its 24th Annual Garden Tour, themed �California Dreamin��, on Friday. In addition to a self-guided tour through the six-acre Robinson estate and exquisitely manicured gardens, attendees will tour five private gardens in Beverly Hills and Holmby Hills, including the Playboy Mansion which boasts the region�s largest privately owned redwood grove.

The Beverly Hills City Council decided tonight to raise the City water rates by 7 percent in FY 2012/2013 and an additional 7 percent in FY 2013/2014. Vice Mayor John Mirisch voted against this rate increase. �Sometimes you have to make a decision,� Councilwoman Lili Bosse said. �Right now it might hurt a little bit but it�s the best decision for the future.�
